A normal working day?
It’s always something different whether I’m in the office or out doing maintenance jobs there is always a new challenge and a great team around me. Tenants are often surprised when something has a quick and easy fix and it’s always nice to chat! I’ll often even fix any extra small bits for them while I’m there - if they ask!
What is your favourite animal?
Panda. I love watching them be goofy and struggle to climb things. The video of a panda trying to climb into a hammock makes me belly laugh every time I see it, it reminds me of a drunk friend..... My favourite thing about them: they are never embarrassed, just reset and try again with the same misplaced optimism.
Early mornings or late nights?
I have always been a night owl but I also love being up before the world is awake so I’m trying to get up earlier… the snooze button is too easy to hit though.
Weirdest phobia?
Ladybirds. I can handle most insects but will run like the wind from a ladybird! They fly... there’e no escape!
Go-to student dinner?
I loved cooking as a student especially baking - it was rocky road for my house, easy and everyone loved it! My go to dinner was a stir fry – whatever food I had, there was always something that would work - a great one-pot meal to cook!
Always lived in Southampton?
No, I came to study Aero/Astro Engineering at Southampton Uni. I loved it here so much I decided to stay. Originally I got my place through clearing - I actually had to google where Southampton was (geography not being my strong point!). I never could have imagined how great the city would be for me and how soon it would feel like home!
Lettings AND Electrician?
Yes both! Lettings for contact with students and our tenants and electrics because I have always loved puzzles and fixing problems. Every maintenance issue is its own puzzle and it is so satisfying when it gets solved.
